Born in Havana, Cuba, Pablo Balboa, aka “ikuma”, is a Tampa based producer and DJ pushing to bring the fresh sounds of the underground to the rest of the world. Since he was a child ikuma has had a wide range of musical influences ranging from jazz to experimental bass music. This wide pallet has given him a strong appreciation for the art of music and shown him what each genre has to offer. These influences backed by his education in music production at full sail university in Orlando have helped shape him into the artist he is today. ikuma’s style reflects a unique blend of downtempo, ambient, and psychedelic influences, while still immersing listeners in deep bass. He is leading this downtempo, ambient style of music into the spotlight, and taking listeners on a journey through sound.
